We are regularly asked to present at school and staff meetings on various topics. Some of the topics we have presented on recently include:
- Workstation assessment presentations: Dos and Don'ts at the computer!
- Lower back care: Basic anatomy, What can go wrong, How you can help your back.
- The importance of exercise
- Exercise programs: Endurance, Strength or Power?
- Injury prevention
- Acute injury management: The basic concepts explained.
We occasionally have requests for specific topics which are not our "standard" presentations. In this case, we require 1-2 weeks to prepare the content and PowerPoint presentation.
Aubrey Monie present on 'Muscle Rehabilitation' and 'Specific Soft Tissue Mobilisation' (SSTM) techniques biannually at The Centre for Musculoskeletal Science (The University of Western Australia).

Office/Computer based, work station assessments are an important "preventative care" service offered by the Physiotherapists. This involves a short 10-15 minute presentation to the group and then individually assessing each person's workstation. Adjustments are made to the office workspace to improve the ergonomics thus minimise muscle strain, fatigue and improve productivity.
Formal reports are available (5 pages) and these can be completed by the physiotherapists including any changes made on the day and any suggested changes to be made e.g. repair broken chair, requires a lumbar support.
